Explorer Academy Students Win “Unprecedented” Award for Hands-On Project

Cabell County Schools is congratulating the 2015-2016 first and second grade team at Explorer Academy. The final product of their expedition, “A Starry Night”, was selected as the number one high quality work product in the EL Education Midwest Region. 

The team’s project went through a rigorous evaluation process at the EL Education national conference in Detroit, Michigan.  Competing products are examined and vetted by EL Education professionals.  

“It is    unprecedented for a first year EL Education school to win this award,” says Ryan McKenzie, Explorer Academy principal.
