Explorer Academy Students Invite Community to Help Plant Trees, Flowers and Shrubs April 7

Explorer Academy invites the community to the school’s first annual Gardening Day, April 7, 2017 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM

Students plan to beautify the grounds surrounding the school.  They are seeking donations of plants and supplies to use for their project.  Donations may be dropped off at the main office during the week of April 3-7. 

Donations Requested:

  • Bee-friendly plants (no neonicotinoid pesticides).
  • Seeds and bulbs (organic/non-GMO preferred).
  • Forsythia, lilacs, snowball, or fruit bushes.
  • Trees – fruit, nut, pawpaw, or sugar maple (please no decorative flowering trees).
  • Tools – shovels, hoes, rakes, spades, two wheel wheelbarrows, kid sized gloves and other gardening gear.

If it rains, this event will be rescheduled.
